“If you’re not 100 percent into it,
somebody else who is 100 percent into it will outperform you.”

85% of that growth came from 11 threads - which on their own generated 10,463,687 views. Here's a recap of those 11 threads (and the #1 lesson from each)
Big Idea: I'm seeing more people attribute their rapid growth to a small amount of content they produced. Aprilynne Alter, Jack Butcher, Harry Dry, and Tori Dunlap are other examples in today's newsletter.

Less than 4% of the estimated 50 million creators earn a living from their creations. While that might not seem fair, it couldn't be any other way.

"The unusual journey of a Wall Street financial analyst turned no-code entrepreneur turned YouTuber. We’re inspired by Aprilynne Alter's courage to build in public, share her journey, and lean in to the chaotic world of entrepreneurship and content creation."
Big Idea: It's much easier to grow if you focus on a rising trend. One of the best examples is Anthony Pompliano's shift to crypto topics.

Simple overview of Jack Butcher's course that had sales of over $1m in 2021.
"Here's the operating system:
1. Start sharing ideas
2. Attract like-minded people
3. Figure out their problems
4. Build products that solve their problems
5. Extract proof you've solved their problem
6. Document/share your process along the way (which becomes a product)"

The only swipe file you’ll ever need. 330+ handpicked examples. Broken-down.
Another brilliant project from Harry Dry of Marketing Examples. It's no surprise that he's been able to get 85k subscribers in less than 2 years. I'm starting to see others successfully copying his format.

"MSCHF bought an original Andy Warhol for $20,000 and made 999 exact forgeries. They mixed the original in and sold 1,000 pieces that *might be a real Warhol* for $250 each. That’s $250k! Here's what they did."
MSCHF is also behind ONLYBAGS, a business that sells luxury shopping bags. It's unlikely they have permission to sell these brand bags, but that will probably help them get more publicity.
Another of their projects is DeadStartupToys. They've done dozens like this.
Big Idea: Weird ideas get publicity and that attention is a powerful currency. MSCHF does "drops" of new limited edition products like this regularly.

"Blending disparate items, concepts, or methodologies to create something new is the basis for many creative strategies that solve problems, disrupt markets, and, well, change the world."
How creatives like David Bowie, Quentin Tarantino, and Leonardo da Vinci combine disparate ideas for creative breakthroughs.
