Why this matters:
💥 He started by publishing a lot of content to see what got traction and then doubled down on what was working. Most creators miss this step.
💥 He then offered consulting services. This is an important step to really get to know what your audience wants.
💥 After he was making enough money with consulting, he started to look into scalable products like courses.

500 Newsletter Subscribers A Day With TikTok

Louis Nichols and Tyler Morin discuss some interesting newsletter opportunities.

💥 The first is creating newsletters for ecommerce companies. These companies have huge email lists but no newsletters.

💥 This second is using short form video to grow a newsletter. This starts at about 24:00.

"I came across this woman and all she does is she talks about "Hey you're trying to figure out your next career steps without doing this first." Combining short form video with quizzes like the old Buzzfeed style quiz and essentially getting a load of views a load of people who want to go and try the quiz themselves get them into an email list and she is getting 500 subscribers a day completely free for recording like a 1 and 1/2 minute video every day this is insane and literally anybody could be doing this for basically any newsletter right now."

💥 The third idea is seeding many TikTok accounts to promote your short videos. Most will not be popular, but a tiny percentage will break out.

Substack notes seems to be one of the most effective ways to get subscribers now. However, open rates seem to be lower and there are other risks.

How Kevin Jon Identifies, Scales, and Monetizes Niche YouTube Channels

This is an interesting approach to systematically building out YouTube channels.

"After learning he could outsource scriptwriting and editing without losing quality, he thought, "If I can build one channel, maybe I can build 100." So he scaled to 14 channels, working with 40–50 freelancers at any given time — scriptwriters, video editors, thumbnail designers, and channel managers — applying his systematic plan for finding profitable, underserved niches."

It makes a lot of sense to start with a niche that is likely to be successful.
